Indian Aviation Achievements: The date of 17 November 2024 has become very special for Indian Aviation. On November 17 itself, Indian Aviation has achieved a historic achievement, which shows India’s growing strength in the global aviation scenario. In fact, on November 17, 5 lakh 5 thousand 412 domestic passengers completed air travel across the country in a single day. This is the first time that the number of domestic passengers in a day has crossed the 5 lakh mark.
According to the Aviation Ministry, on November 17, 2024, a total of 3100 planes took off and about five lakh passengers traveled by air. It is noteworthy that after the launch of ‘Udaan-Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik’ scheme launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 21, 2016, the number of air travelers has increased rapidly. According to the ministry, the government’s passenger-friendly policies and affordable fares have taken the Indian aviation sector to new heights by expanding rapidly.
Regarding this achievement, Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu says that it is clear from this number that now air travel is more accessible for the people in India. He said that this achievement has been possible due to schemes like UDAN, which have brought air travel closer to the people. Udaan has also worked to connect remote areas of India with global destinations.
