Apple Offers USD 100 Million to This Country to Remove Ban on its iPhone 16

American company Apple, which makes the worldwide popular iPhone, is facing difficulties in the sale of its smartphones in Indonesia. Indonesia has also banned the sale of the company’s recently launched iPhone 16. To deal with this problem, Apple has offered to increase its investment in Indonesia by almost 10 times.

According to Bloomberg report, the company has proposed to invest about 100 million dollars in Indonesia in two years. Earlier, Apple had informed about the plan to invest about one crore dollars. This included setting up a factory to make iPhone accessories and components. This factory was to be set up in Bandung city, southeast of Indonesia’s capital Jakarta. Sources having information about this said that last month the Industry Ministry of Indonesia had banned the sale of iPhone 16. The ministry has asked Apple to change its investment plan and put more emphasis on research and development for its smartphones.

The ministry has not taken a final decision on Apple’s new proposal. Apple and Indonesia’s Industry Ministry did not respond to requests for comment. The Indonesian government says that the company has not fulfilled the requirement of 40 percent local content for smartphones and tablets. Indonesia has also banned the sale of Google’s Pixel smartphones due to lack of investment.

Apple’s iPhone 15 has been the best-selling smartphone in the third quarter of this year. Apple holds the first three positions in the list of best selling smartphones. The company’s sales are increasing rapidly in India also. South Korean smartphone maker Samsung has secured the maximum positions in this list. Samsung’s Galaxy S devices have made it into the top 10 best-selling smartphones for the first time in six years. This is the first time that the share of Pro variants in the total sales of iPhone has been almost half. Due to this, Apple has achieved more sales in terms of value.
