On the last day of the G20 summit, Modi posed for a group photo with all the G20 members.
The third session of the G20 Summit concluded on Tuesday in Rio de Janeiro, the capital of Brazil. In this, leaders from all over the world discussed the topic ‘Sustainable development and better energy options’.
Earlier on Monday, global leaders had discussed ‘solidarity against hunger and poverty’ and ‘improving the functioning of governments’ at the G20 summit.
After the conclusion of the third session, Modi held bilateral meetings with Brazilian President Lula da Silva, Chilean President Gabriel Boric, Argentinian President Javier Milli and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
Brazilian President Lula da Silva, during his meeting with Modi, praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the successful organization of G20 in New Delhi last year. He said-
We wanted to host the G20 Summit just like India had done last year. Had learned a lot from there. I wish we could do something like that.
Lula da Silva said that the steps taken by Brazil at the G20 Summit are inspired by the decisions taken by India at the G20 last year.
Modi expressed happiness over the increasing popularity of Ayurveda in Chile On the sidelines of G20, PM Modi also held bilateral talks with Chilean President Gabriel. There was discussion on how to enhance relations between the two countries in pharmaceuticals and space. During this, Modi expressed happiness over the popularity of Ayurveda in Chile. He said that relations between the two countries can gain momentum in this area also.
Modi said in G20 – food crisis in the world due to war On the first day of the G20 summit, PM Narendra Modi had bilateral meetings with world leaders. Modi held talks on bilateral issues with French President Emmanuel Macron, British PM Keir Starmer, Italy’s PM Georgia Meloni, Portugal’s PM Luis Montenegro, Indonesia’s President Prabowo Subianto and Norway’s PM Jonas Ger Store.
During the summit, PM Modi also met US President Joe Biden and there was an informal conversation between them. PM Modi gave suggestions on the first two sessions of the G20 summit – ‘Solidarity against hunger and poverty’ and ‘Improving the functioning of governments’. He said that due to war there is a food crisis in the world. Its biggest impact has been on poor countries.

The theme of the first session of the G20 Summit was ‘Solidarity against hunger and poverty’. Addressing the first session, PM Modi congratulated the President of Brazil for the successful organization of G20. He said that Brazil has taken forward the decisions taken in the New Delhi Summit under its chairmanship.
Modi said-
India has brought 25 crore people out of poverty in 10 years. We are giving free food grains to 80 crore people. 55 crore people are availing the benefit of free health insurance. Gave 20 billion dollars (1,68 thousand crore rupees) to the farmers. India is contributing to global food security. Recently help has been provided to Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

During the G-20 summit, Prime Minister Modi also met Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni. Prime Minister Modi shared pictures of this meeting on his ‘X’.
PM Modi also met Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. Modi wrote on ‘X’ that there is a need to further strengthen India’s relations with Egypt.
Modi also met European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. The PM said that India and the European Union will continue to work together for the betterment of the world.
PM met Geeta Gopinath, Deputy Managing Director of IMF.

Prime Minister Modi with Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar has also attended the G20 summit. On this occasion he also met Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. Both the leaders have expressed satisfaction about bilateral reforms.
Biden, Meloni and Trudeau not seen in group photo of G20 members
Many big leaders were not seen in the formal group photo on the first day of the G20 summit. US President Joe Biden, who was attending his last G20 summit, was not in the group photo. Apart from them, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni were also missing in the group photo.
American officials cited the organizers’ mistake in the matter. After this, it was also believed from the Brazilian side that Biden, Trudeau and Meloni were late for the photoshoot. They will again try to bring all the leaders together and get a group photo clicked.
Paraguay’s President falls ill at G20 summit, admitted to hospital Latin American country Paraguay’s President Santiago Pena (46 years), who had reached the G20 Summit, fell ill, after which he was admitted to the hospital. According to news agency AP, President Pena was discussing the economic situation of his country in a meeting on Monday night, when he complained of chest pain.
Brazilian officials said that Pena has been admitted to a hospital in Rio de Janeiro. At present he is undergoing treatment. After some time, a medical bulletin will be issued in which information regarding his health will be given.
Paraguay is not a member of the G20, but host Brazil had invited President Pena to attend the summit.

Brazilian President raised demand for reform in UNSC In G-20, Brazilian President Lula da Silva demanded to make India a member of UNSC. He said, ‘When the United Nations was formed, it had only 56 members. Today there are 196 countries. Where is the African continent in the Security Council today? Where are Latin American countries represented in the United Nations Security Council? Where is Asia? Where is South Africa, Germany, India? Where are these countries?’
