According to the report of WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is testing two new features these days. Both these features have been seen in the latest beta update version 2.20.203.3. The name of one feature is Join Missed Calls feature, with the help of this feature users can become a part of missed calls on WhatsApp. However, this feature will work only if the call is still going on, after which the user can join that group call even in between. In the screenshot shared by WABetaInfo, it can be seen that users will get two options with this feature ‘Ignore’ and ‘Join’. If the ongoing call is important for you, you can join the call later by clicking on ‘Join’. If you do not find that call important, you can also ignore it.
Talking about the ‘Biometric lock’ feature, WhatsApp is reportedly going to add other options besides fingerprint scanning in the authentication process. Till now, you only got the option of fingerprint lock in the privacy settings of WhatsApp, but now it seems that this option is going to change, now biometric lock will be introduced in which face lock can be included.
At present, it is not clear when these two new features will be introduced in the app. It is also worth noting here that both these features are under development, which is not yet available even for beta built users.
Let us tell you, recently it was revealed in beta update version 2.2043.7 that voice and video call support is going to be added to web/desktop soon, in which till now only messaging facility was available. However, this feature is available for Android and iOS apps.
