Tipster (@smashx_60), who keeps an eye on HMD device news, has leaked the design renders of the Icon Flip 1 flip feature phone through a post on X. In the picture, the phone is shown in two color options, while the tipster says that it will be offered in Magenta, Bleen and Glossy Black color options. Its design matches Nokia 2660 Flip to some extent. However, there are big differences in specifications.
The HMD phone looks like a toy phone, with a plastic build with rounded corners. When fully folded, a large hinge is visible in the center. The frame shows a USB Type-C port and 3.5mm audio jack on one side, while volume and power buttons are visible on the other.
The tipster has also leaked the specifications. It has been claimed that the upcoming HMD device will support 4G LTE and work on Unisoc T127 chipset. This chipset is also included in the HMD 105 4G launched earlier this year. The phone has 48MB RAM and 128MB storage. The operating system is S30+ and the phone will also support web apps.
HMD Icon Flip 1 is reported to have a 2.80-inch main display and 1.7-inch cover screen. At the same time, it will have a 2MP front-facing camera, but there will be no rear camera. The phone will include Bluetooth 5.0, audio jack and USB-C (2.0) port. It is said to have a 1,500mAh removable battery. Although the leak has not confirmed the price or launch date, it is likely to launch soon.
