Indian Railways is going to increase the facilities for those traveling in this class. Railways has started the work and the deadline has been fixed for November. In this way, from next month, the chances of getting a seat for those traveling in general class will be higher than before.

According to the Railway Ministry, it is continuously taking steps to provide convenient travel to the passengers traveling in General Class. In this direction, the number of general coaches in regular trains is being increased. In the month of November, more than one thousand coaches and general coaches will be added to about 370 regular trains. According to an estimate, the addition of new general coaches of Railways will benefit about one lakh passengers every day. The work of installing general coaches has started.

New coaches are being made in two coach factories

Railway Board Executive Director Dilip Kumar said that new general class coaches are being made in two factories. Coach manufacturing work is going on at a fast pace in Integral Coach Factory, Chennai and Rae Bareli Coach Factory. Railways plans to make 10,000 general coaches in the next two years, through which about eight lakh additional passengers of general class will be able to travel daily. All these coaches will be LHB i.e. more convenient than before. One to three general coaches will be installed in trains as per requirement. In this way, there will be four general coaches in the train.

583 new coaches ready in three months

A total of 583 new coaches of general category have been manufactured from July to October. These coaches have been added to 229 regular trains. This is benefiting thousands of additional passengers traveling in general class every day. That means they are traveling sitting.
