Vivo’s three smartphone models – V2427, V2428 and V2434 have been seen listed on the EEC certification website. The listing doesn’t confirm their names, but V2427 and V2428 have previously been seen listed on the IMEI database, where they were tipped to be Vivo V50 and V50e. The listing was first spotted by Mysmartprice.
The report suggests that the V2434 model number could be the Vivo Y29 4G. It was spotted on IMEI with the same model number and has also reportedly been spotted on the GSMA database with the same model number. The upcoming model could be a successor to the existing Vivo Y28 4G, which was launched in Singapore in June this year.
If the alleged model numbers are linked to the Vivo V50 series, then these will be the successors to the Vivo V40 series, which also includes the Vivo V40e. The series was launched this year. Vivo introduces its S-series lineup in China, which later comes to India as V-series models with minor changes. It is also possible that the models seen in the certification may be rebadges of the Vivo S20 series to be launched in China in December this year.
